  • 22 foster homes
  • 16 from January 7th to April 7th that said "yes" to placements and/or respite
  • 23 children are currently in care
  • 14 homes are caring for these 23 children
  • 6 homes are currently full
  • 30 children were placed in Asotin and Garfield Counties in 2006 compared to 18 children placed in Lewiston

Asotin County has nearly double the national average for victims of child abuse and neglect in accepted referrals. The Asotin County referral number is also higher than the Washington State average and other similar counties in Washington.
